E Commerce Shipping and Customer Service
Job Description:
Customer service for a fast growing E Commerce business.
Must be proficient in customer service, accounting software and shipping systems.
Part time and possible full time in the future.
Responsibilities:
Pull, pack and ship up to 40 shipments per day from several e commerce platforms.
Some packages may weigh up to 50 lbs.
Input tracking numbers into systems so the customer is notified of the shipment.
Drive a forklift, load and unload LTL shipments.
Restock inventory from incoming shipments.
Many items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Serve as the backup point of contact for customers by promptly answering incoming phone calls and addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and friendly manner.
Product Knowledge:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products, their features, and their benefits to provide accurate information to customers and assist them in making informed purchase decisions.
Customer Communication:
Communicate with customers proactively, keeping them informed about order statuses, delays, and any other relevant information to manage their expectations effectively.
Qualifications:
Must be able to drive a forklift Must be able to lift up to 50 lb packages repetitively Must have experience using UPS and Federal Express shipping software High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or forklift certification is a plus.
Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically under pressure.
Familiarity with shipping procedures and logistics processes.
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric mindset.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
