This is a Direct Hire position, Department of Transportation Compliance Specialist, for a national client with the following position requirements:
Acts as single point of contact in the management of the Company's fleet/DOT program
Ensures compliance with all state and federal government rules and regulations
Using knowledge and past experience, evaluates the Company's fleet/DOT program and makes recommendations for improvement and process efficiency
Develops, implements, documents, communicates and administers fleet/DOT program and related policies and procedures; builds and maintains infrastructure of program using tools, processes, systems, etc.
Ensures drivers meet fleet/DOT requirements through driver qualification files, driver logs and drug tests; conduct routine audits to ensure compliance
Manages fleet maintenance, reporting and compliance for International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)
Coordinates IFTA, safety and other related DOT programs and issues
Ensures proper documentation where required
Conducts appropriate agency filings and reporting
Manages all permits, including vehicle registration, fuel reports and trip reports
Administers the tracking of all Company's fleet vehicles (purchased and leased) for logistical and contractual obligations
Makes recommendations to management on various issues
Participates in OSHA and/or other inspections
May partner with selected vendors, insurance carriers, vendors and state/federal agencies, as requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
