Lab Tech - UDS (Medical Assistant or Lab Tech)

Job Duties
o Oversees the urinalysis process, collects and analyzes specimens to determine normal or abnormal findings.
o Responsible for laboratory documentation/reports, and forwarding lab results to the ordering physician for validation and confirmation.
o Responsible for the UDS processing.
o Log preliminary and final data from medical tests and enter results into medical records database.
o Controls the ordering procedures and inventory of supplies.
o Must maintain scheduled completion deadlines; demonstrating self-paced performance and adjusting priorities as needed.
o Cross-trains and supports others as needed or requested by supervisor.
o Will perform other duties as needed during down time or waiting.

o Ability to consistently demonstrate through conduct and communications the stability required to effectively assist patients and their family members through the FRN Model of Treatment.
o Ability to adhere to regulatory standards, including CARF.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Maintains confidentiality at all times.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
o Excellent interpersonal skills.
o Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
o Must have general knowledge of a variety of computer software applications (MS Office, electronic medical records).
o Requires analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
o Ability to maintain accuracy and thoroughness, and ability to check own work to ensure quality and accuracy.
Education and Experience
o High School diploma or GED required.
o Medical Assistant Certificate or Associates in Laboratory Science or a postsecondary certificate of completion from a clinical laboratory training program. Bachelors in related field preferred. Licensed or Registered Technicians preferred.
o Prefer three years' experience in a medical laboratory technician role in a healthcare facility; hospital experience preferred.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
